I finally got around to seeing 2012 this past weekend, and let me tell you it is everything you can expect if you are a fan of the disaster movie genre. Completely unnecessary casting of established actors? Check. Destruction of well known landmarks? Check. Completely idiotic actions by the characters from which most escape? Check. Seriously, you've seen this movie before, but if you enjoyed it then it is equally as entertaining this go round. I'll be interested to see how Emmerich decides to destroy the world next time.
